Little Tree
Ranch
Legacy grown from the ground up.

Our
Story
Welcome to Little Tree Ranch. The Thun family purchased the ranch in August 2022 and it is now home to highland cattle, Buff Orpington chickens, 4 cats, many native grasses, beautiful wildflowers and countless mature douglas fir, pine, juniper and larch trees.
Anywhere you look on the ranch, there is a lot of work to be done but limitless potential to be realized. That’s the origin of our name: Little Tree Ranch. This ranch is like a tiny sapling – we’ll face challenges as we grow but we’ll do things right and build a strong foundation from which this land will become a generational source of pride and sustainability. There are many challenges in building a ranch but we will rise to each of them and slowly grow this ‘Little Tree’ into its potential. The ranch is a metaphor for each of us: like little trees, our lives need a strong foundation from which to grow and realize our potential.
